Embraced in Flight

A Silent CallI wondered how the
robin builds its
nest.
Does it brood and
question life’s only
test,
to live enamored
with the tale
to tell
and revel in
the building
of a fractured
shell?

Oh, no, it lives
but to fulfill
the burning that
inside
reminds him
how to build
the fortress protecting
all the I.
No matter
winds or storms
that come
he happily
supplies
the tenderness
for the
heart to
blossom and
reside.

He builds, oh
happily,
recoiling not
from flight,
awaiting the promises
residing in the
I.
And then one
day all work
will recognize
itself
and fly away
repeating Divinity’s
embrace.
